MDEPARTMENT × IRELAND
Web Design
WEB DESIGN
Web design for companies in Ireland has to do more than look good. Your site should load quickly on mobile data, show up when people in Ireland search for what you offer rather than disappear behind UK competitors, handle enquiries in line with GDPR and, where consumers can buy or book online, meet the European Accessibility Act. MDEPARTMENT is a digital studio of KRUPKA Concept GmbH, based in Germany. We plan, design and build websites for Irish firms remotely and in English, with on-site workshops when a project calls for them. We write the code ourselves and pair it with a headless CMS, so your team can edit content without breaking layouts. What you receive is a company website or relaunch at a fixed price: accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA, built for strong Core Web Vitals, with clean SEO foundations and a redirect plan that protects your existing rankings.

Web Design
- Pages that load quickly on mobile data and meet Core Web Vitals thresholds
- Existing Google rankings protected at relaunch by a complete redirect map
- WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility, documented for checks under the European Accessibility Act
- Your own team updates pages and news in a straightforward headless CMS
Audit before design
We crawl your current site, pull performance data from Google Search Console and list every URL that attracts traffic or backlinks. That inventory becomes the redirect map and content plan before a single layout is drawn.
Prototype with real content
You click through a working prototype on your own phone and laptop, filled with your actual copy rather than placeholder text. Contrast, keyboard navigation and screen-reader labels are checked at this stage, not patched in after launch.
Local signals for Ireland
We connect your .ie domain, mark up your address and Eircode as structured data, link your Google Business Profile and add hreflang tags if you run separate pages for Ireland and the UK. After launch we monitor Search Console and real-user Core Web Vitals until rankings for the new pages have settled.
Strategy
and analysis
A precise look at the status quo as the foundation for your success.

Frequently asked questions — Ireland
What will a new website cost, and what is included?
Websites start at €3,000. The final figure depends on the number of page templates, how much copy and imagery we create rather than migrate, additional languages, and integrations such as a booking tool, CRM or newsletter platform. A relaunch with a large archive costs more than a compact new site, because every old URL has to be mapped, redirected and tested. After the first call you receive a fixed-price quote listing pages, features and deliverables, and that price holds unless you extend the scope. Hosting and maintenance after launch are listed in the same quote. Invoices are issued in euro, so there is no exchange-rate risk. If the project grows into a customer portal or internal tool, custom software and web applications start at €15,000.
How does a project run, and how long does it take?
A typical company website takes six to ten weeks from kick-off; a relaunch with many existing pages can take longer because of the audit and redirect testing. After the initial call and the fixed-price quote, we hold a kick-off workshop on goals, audiences and site structure, either remotely or on site in Ireland if you prefer. Next comes a clickable prototype with real content, after which design, development and content entry run in parallel. Before launch we test forms, accessibility, loading speed and every redirect on a staging site you can review at any time. The schedule depends mostly on how quickly copy, photos and approvals arrive from your side, so we agree those dates together at the start.
How do language, time zone and invoicing work with a studio in Germany?
Projects run in English, or in German if you prefer, through video calls, a shared project board and a staging link that shows progress at any time. Germany is one hour ahead of Ireland all year round, so working hours overlap almost completely. We have no office in Ireland; for kick-offs or content workshops we travel to you on request. Invoices come from KRUPKA Concept GmbH in euro. For business customers with a valid Irish VAT number, the EU reverse-charge mechanism applies: we invoice without German VAT and you account for Irish VAT in your own VAT return. Where we host or process personal data on your behalf, we sign a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR.
Does the European Accessibility Act apply to our website?
That depends on what the site does. The Act has applied in Ireland since 28 June 2025 and covers consumer-facing services such as online shops and other e-commerce services, consumer banking, e-books, and booking and ticketing for passenger transport. Microenterprises providing services, meaning businesses with fewer than ten employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet total of no more than €2 million, are exempt. A purely informational B2B site often falls outside the scope. Even then, WCAG 2.1 AA, the level referenced in the European standard EN 301 549, is a sensible baseline because it makes the site usable for more people. In the first call we give you a technical assessment; the final legal view is a matter for your solicitor or legal adviser.
If your current site is slow, hard to edit or overdue for a relaunch, send us the address and a few lines on what should change. In a first video call, in English or German, we look at speed, accessibility and search visibility together, outline a sensible scope and explain how the fixed price is put together. There is no obligation to go ahead.
